TERMS AND CONDITIONS - NATIONAL MASTER AUDITION ‘26.

1. National Master Audition ’26 is organized by National Master Audition LLC (“NMA”) and held at the premises of Ballet Nebraska, a Nebraska corporation doing business as American Midwest Ballet (“AMB”). NMA and AMB are referred to collectively in this Agreement as the “Organizers.”  The registered applicant (and if under 18, Applicant’s legal representative) of the National Master Audition ’26 shall be referred to in this Agreement as the “Applicant,” “I,” or “You.”

2. Registration for the National Master Audition ‘26 constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions (this “Agreement” herein) between the Organizers and the Applicant. This Agreement is deemed read and accepted when the Applicant (or Applicant’s legal representative) clicks on the button “Submit and proceed to payment” of the Online Application form related to the Terms & Conditions.

3. Purpose: to provide the opportunity to young professional dancers to audition in front of many ballet company Artistic Directors or their Representatives in view of obtaining a professional contact with these companies.

4. Eligibility:  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by August 15, 2027 and be from a professional ballet school, a university dance program, or be an experienced professional dancer.

5. Registration: Submission instructions are on the website at: NationalMasterAudition.org/submission-materials-audition-guidelines. Applicants must provide the requested documents (as listed below) in the correct format, and complete online payment via credit card by the Deadline of 5:00 pm, Pacific Standard Time, December 23, 2026.  

6. Requested documents and Registration Fee to submit with online application:

·Headshot with clear background.

·Dance shot in arabesque or a ballet position that shows Applicant’s full body line. Please submit photos as .JPG only. Minimum 800x800 pixels or 2 MB.

·Current video of the Applicant dancer only, no longer than 5 minutes in length. Video must be posted on YouTube as either a public or unlisted video.

·Applicant’s dancer resume. Please submit as a PDF only.

·Non-refundable registration fee. NOTE: Applicants must come prepared with one ballet variation, which may be shown if called back. Directors have the discretion to decide what they wish to see during callbacks.

7. Unpaid applications will not be accepted.

8. Reimbursement/Cancellation: Any cancellation/withdrawal by Applicant before or during the National Master Audition ’26, for any reason, does not entitle the reimbursement of any fee. If Applicant decides not to attend/participate for any reason Applicant is not eligible for a refund.

9. If NMA does not secure required number of applicants for the National Master Audition ’26 to take place, NMA will refund registration fee, via a check mailed to the applicant’s mailing address on the application.

10. NMA reserves the right to close application process once the number of applicants reaches a limit determined by the Organizers.

11. Late Applications: if space provides, on a first come first serve basis, a late application may be accepted at an additional fee of $50 at the discretion of the Organizers.

12. Organizers, Applicants, and participants will follow all CDC health protocols at the time of the audition.

13. Organizers do not provide travel, accommodations, food, nor any other supplies or amenities to or for Applicant.

14. Organizer will email to the Applicant a schedule of audition at least one week prior to the Auditions.

15. At the National Master Audition: Auditions are: Session 1: December 28 & 29, 2026. Session 2: December 30 & 31, 2026. Dancers called back may be asked to meet with Directors. Directors may or may not ask to see any work you have prepared, or may ask for any other choreography or styles of their choosing with no advance notice, as they would do in their individual auditions. Classes are closed to anyone not participating in the audition classes.

16. Applicant dancers may only take the classes to which they are assigned. Classes are closed to viewing.

17. All decisions by the Artistic Directors are final. Participation in the audition does not guarantee any positions or offers of employment.

18. Organizers are not responsible nor liable for lost, damaged, or stolen property.

19. It is the Applicant’s responsibility to review the information they enter and make sure all items are correct.  NMA will only respond to an email entered by the Applicant on the online application form.  NMA is not responsible for the information entered in the Application.

20. Applicants who are offered and accept a job offer, but back out of the job, will no longer be eligible for future National Master Auditions. Applicants do not need to accept an offer, but accepted offers must be honored.

21. PHOTO RELEASE: For good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I hereby grant Organizers permission to use my likeness in photographs or videos in any and all of its written, video or other electronically-facilitated publications or media, including but not limited to all of Organizer’s printed and digital publications and social media account content. I understand and agree that any photograph, video or other media using my voice, image or likeness will become property of Organizers and will not be returned. I acknowledge that since my participation with the National Master Audition is voluntary, I will receive no financial compensation. I hereby irrevocably authorize Organizers to edit, alter, copy exhibit, publish, or distribute this photo or video for purposes of publicizing Organizers’programs or for any other related, lawful purpose. In addition, I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the video, photograph or other media. I hereby hold harmless and release and forever discharge the Organizers from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.

Indemnification

To the greatest extent permitted by applicable law, Applicant or his/her parents/legal representatives hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless NMA, AMB, and/or their respective agents, employees and directors (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any loss, claim, damage, suit, costs or expenses of any kind or nature, including attorneys’ fees and court costs, resulting from or arising out of any injury or illness to any person or damage to or loss of any property, caused by the Applicant or whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Indemnified Parties, incurred as a result of or during the National Master Audition ‘26 or any activities in connection with the National Master Audition ‘26.

 

RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Assumption of the Risk of Participation and Use of American Midwest Ballet  and Pottawattamie Arts, Culture and Entertainment (PACE) facilities and premises (the “Premises”): By signing this Agreement, to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law, Applicant or his/her parents/legal representatives assume full responsibility for, and risk of, bodily injury, sickness or illness, death, or lost, stolen or damaged property which relate to or arise out Applicant’s entry into or use of the Premises in any way. By signing this Agreement Applicant or his/her parents/legal representatives acknowledge that the risks associated with entry into and use of the Premises may be both foreseen and unforeseen and may include serious physical injury and/or death or illness, and other personal and property damages, and agree to assume all associated risks.

I hereby declare that all the information that I have provided is complete and accurate and I am fit to participate in National Master Auditions ’26 and any related activities. I, the undersigned, hereby declare that I know that I am about to participate in a dance activity that demands significant physical exertion. I hereby declare that I am healthy and fit for the activity and have trained for it accordingly. I understand that my participation in the National Master Audition ‘26 event, under the circumstances that I am not adequately in physical form, may endanger my health. I am aware that the organizing committee of the event, the hosting party, the Organizers, the producers and/or the sponsors will not undertake any responsibility for any harm that I may endure, including bodily harm or illness that may occur prior to the event, during or thereafter, nor are they responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged belongings. I declare that if during the National Master Audition ‘26, I suffer or if I suspect that I suffer from any sickness, including fever, digestive issues or cough, then I will consult a physician prior to the event. I will participate only if cleared to do so by a physician. I understand and accept that dancers displaying symptoms may be asked to provide a doctor’s note clearing them to participate in the auditions and related activities. 

GENERAL: Nothing in this Agreement is intended to exculpate the Organizers from any form of damages or liability that cannot be so limited or released under applicable law. If any provision (or part of any provision) of this Agreement is found by any court or other authority of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, then that provision or partial provision shall, to the fullest extent required by applicable law, be deemed not to form part of this Agreement, and the validity and enforceability of the other provisions of this Agreement shall not be affected. A court of competent jurisdiction may also reform portions of this Agreement that are void, unenforceable or against public policy under applicable law so that they are enforceable to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law. Iowa law shall govern the interpretation and construction of this Agreement and any disputes arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, Western Division, sitting in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. IN ANY ACTION, SUIT, OR PROCEEDING IN ANY JURISDICTION BROUGHT BY ANY PARTY AGAINST ANY OTHER PARTY, THE PARTIES EACH KNOWINGLY AND INTENTIONALLY, TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HEREBY ABSOLUTELY, UNCONDITIONALLY, IRREVOCABLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES TRIAL BY JURY, EACH PARTY HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGING THEY HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONSULT INDEPENDENT LEGAL COUNSEL OF THEIR OWN CHOOSING WITH RESPECT TO THE LEGAL AFFECT OF THIS WAIVER. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement by and among the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, whether written or oral, and may only be modified by written agreement signed by the duly authorized representatives of the parties to be bound by such modification. Nothing in this Agreement is intended to confer any right, power, privilege, remedy or benefit on any third party. This Agreement may not be assigned nor any duties or obligations hereunder transferred, in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of the non-assigning / non-transferring party(ies). Any waiver of a party’s rights or privileges in this Agreement must be in a signed writing to be effective.

BY PAYING THE APPLICATION FEE, APPLICANT HAS READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO THE TERMS & CONDITIONS IN THIS AGREEMENT.
